Government Dental College & Hospital Nagpur is an educational institute offering higher education in the stream of Dentistry and its allied subjects. The government-run institute was established in 1968. It is recognised by the Dental Council of India, the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) and Medical Education & Drug Dept. (MEDD, GOM). Govt Dental College & Hospital Nagpur is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik . The institute offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree courses. The admissions in GDCH Nagpur are overseen by the competent government body of the Medical Counselling Committee and the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State. For admission in the BDS course, the applicant has to appear for the national entrance examination of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and for MDS, they must secure an eligible score in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS ( NEET MDS ).
