GGU located in Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), is a Central University established under the Central Universities Act, 2009. Originally founded in 1983 as Guru Ghasidas University, it was later upgraded to central university status. The university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities, reflecting its academic standing and international links.
